Anna Stansfield is a fine artist based in Utah, specializing in equine art and pet portraiture. 

As a young child, armed with crayons, Anna began drawing very square horses, and never stopped. Her love of art came with a drive to explore and attempt to capture many subjects and many mediums, anything that felt inspiring in the moment. Around age 10 she loved watching Bob Ross and knew she wanted to oil paint and insisted to her parents that she knew she could do it! They, wisely, got her acrylics instead.

After many years of exploring other mediums and subjects, and many years where chronic illness kept her from creating as much as she'd have liked, Anna was finally able to commit to oil painting as her main artistic pursuit. Her love of pet portraiture, and capturing the likeness of a beloved furry family member, and capturing the beauty and majesty of horses, reawakened as she discovered her 10 year old self was right. There was a reason she was so drawn to oil paint. It is her favorite medium and she's excited to paint every day, and bring joy to people through her art. 

 

Her studio assistant is a small black cat named Drusilla, and a jungle of house plants.
